The club has regularly scheduled, nationally-renowned speakers discussing hostas and their culture and appropriate companion plants. Each year we hold a tissue-culture plant sale for members in conjunction with the Spring Meeting. Additionally, we hold several plant sales during the spring, summer, and fall. For club events see the Club calendar by clicking here. Each year in September we hold a club picnic, auction, and plant exchange at a member's home. This also provides members with an opportunity to learn about hostas, gardening and, at the same time, enjoy the company of new-found gardening friends. Midland Hosta Society |
Welcome to the Midland Hosta Society, founded by John Altman in August of 1996. Our goal is to promote the development, use, and appreciation of the Genus Hosta in the New Castle area. The club now numbers nearly 130 members.
